Visitors!

Last Monday we had some visitors come to see us on Tortola!  Nancy, Office Aid Extraordinaire from Scarborough Elementary, and her husband Mikel (both avid readers of Our Teach Abroad Adventure) were here for Spring Break.  They chartered a boat from St. Thomas and were tooling all around the BVI this week.  Monday night was their stop in Cane Garden Bay, and they were kind enough to take us out to dinner!

Before dinner we went out to the Jalapeno for some sundowners.

It was great to see familiar faces from Kansas.  AND Nancy came bearing gifts!  For Tony there was a box of his favourite Double Stuffed Oreos!  For me there were two reusable shopping bags from Trader Joe’s (they’ve already come in handy several times, Nancy!) AND a jar of Newman’s Peach Salsa.  Nancy couldn’t find the Mango either, but Peach is a fabulous substitute!  Thanks so much for including us in your vacation Nancy and Mikel!

It was great having Lindy and Tony join us for sundowners prior to their dinner with Nancy and Mikel. We will post more about their sailing trip aboard Jalapeno in the future at http://www.jalapenocharters.com and http;//www.facebook.com/jalapenocharters.

It was great to see you and Tony. We had a lovely evening. I’ll email you with info. about some of the places we went. Tony had recommended the Indians and the Caves. They were our favorite, also. Would love to go back there!
