Night of Nations

Last night was a big event at Cedar International School – Night of Nations.  It’s essentially a big food fest!  Families make traditional dishes from their home countries and others can purchase them.  Here you can see the Caribbean table in the center of the atrium, all the flags (which are usually there) and the palm branches (which aren’t).

The food was delicious!  The North American table had tasty pulled pork. The Asian table had great sushi. I tried a Pasty and a Scotch Egg from the European table.  For dessert, a crepe with lemon juice and sugar!

There was also great entertainment!  The Lashing Dogs performed, for their second appearance at Cedar.  There were also performances by the Judo Club, a traditional South African stomp-like dance, and a traditional Dominican dance.  I think the hit of the evening for the students was the Moko Jumbies though!
