God Save the Queen

In honour of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebration this weekend, today’s been declared a public holiday here in the BVI!

She’s had a marvelous reign thus far and has done amazing things for the monarchy in Britain, keeping it relevent and present in modern society!  I’ve enjoyed learning about her 60 year reign here, and very much appreciate the holiday!  If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll realize that’s 3 Mondays in a row we’ve had off school!

The day off today has given me a chance to finish documenting our recent Dominica trip (final post coming VERY soon) and recover from a little cold I’ve developed.

Now we’ll be on the home stretch – 3 1/2 weeks of school left!
