Before we knew that our lovely dog-sitting charges would decimate our extra spending money with their pillow fight, we decided to treat ourselves to what is commonly known as one of best restaurants in the BVI. It’s a good thing we went before too, because this place is a little pricey.
From the street, it’s not much to look at, but inside there are chandeliers, lush fabrics on the booths and chairs, and always lots of people!
These places always have a menu that’s a little too fancy for Tony, but I must say we were both surprised when our appetizer arrived raw! Here is the Beef Carpaccio.
It was actually surprisingly good and those little greens on top are called micro greens They pack all the flavour, or more, of full size greens, but they’re little! A coworker of ours and her daughter actually grow these and sell them to the fancy restaurants on island!
I wish I’d remembered to take a photo of the main courses, because they were both incredible. Tony had a stellar steak and I had the best pork tenderloin ever with a delicious sweet potato, apple, bacon salad side dish. I don’t know if we’ll be back to the Dove (still several other fancy places on my list) but I sure am glad we made it this week! It was a delightful night out with Hubsy.
